Red Cow Hennepin Ave - Minneapolis

I was thrilled to discover that they had a dedicated plant-based section on their menu! I decided to try the chickpea burger and it was delicious. They also offered an impossible burger and appetizers that looked appealing. I definitely plan on going back to try more dishes. [Update 1/2020] I tried the cauliflower buffalo wings and loved them, though I found the vegan ranch sauce to be too thick, like mashed potatoes. I will probably skip it next time.

I was super excited to see that they have listed a whole plant-based section in their menu! I ordered the kicherbburger, who was excellent! they also had an impossible burger and good looking appetizer. I'll go back to try more. [edit 1/2220] I had the flower buffalo wings and really enjoyed them! However, the vegan Ranch sauce has the consistency of kartoffeln kartoffeln - I plan to skip the next time.

We stopped by for lunch and were quickly seated. The restaurant began to fill up shortly after we arrived. We started with the Ahi Crisps, which were the highlight of our meal. They were so delicious that we could have kept eating them. I ordered the Bourbon Chicken, which was large and full of flavor. My husband had the Ultimate and enjoyed it as well. There was a slight delay in our food's arrival due to a large lunch order ahead of us. Our waiter was excellent, keeping us updated and our drinks refilled. We also had a pleasant conversation with the table next to us. Overall, it was a good choice for lunch and we would definitely return.

Tropical bowl was surprisingly good. I say surprisingly because this is Minnesota and not a tropical island. The pork belly and avocado were too tempting for us to wait for the photo... Sorry the presentation is so pretty but we couldn't help ourselves so this picture isn't exactly how the bowl is presented. The ultimate burger was very good...cooked to perfection and fries were crispy hot! Paired with the Able Old Trustee lager was magnifique!

This has become my weekly (if not 2 3X weekly lunch spot and I continue to be impressed by the entire experience. Not only is every menu item better than the next, the staff (spotlight on Jay, Zane, Mike, and Kylie continue to go above and beyond for their patrons. Favorite restaurant 1000/10 will come again, you can count on it! ; Featured pic is the January special the Greek Chicken Gyro Bowl! I recommend the crispy chicken!
