Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónWe stopped here for a few drinks and ended up staying a long while and having dinner. The pan seared haddock was incredible! Our waitress Trina was so very nice and attentive. Locals dine here so visited with some. It was walking distance to our hotel too.
We had made a reservation for 1 pm for a group of 60 people. It is now 3 pm and none of us, including the children, have received our food. The reservation was made over a week in advance, so the restaurant knew we were coming. The kids are crying because they are so hungry. I would advise against making a group reservation here as they are unable to handle it. Our hockey team frequently does group reservations and this was, without a doubt, the worst experience we have ever had. They claimed to only have one cook, but how difficult is it to cook chicken fingers and fries for the kids? We were all very disappointed and upset, and will not be returning to this restaurant.
We decided to have dinner at a restaurant in historic Chatham while staying for one night. The restaurant was conveniently located near the Rodd Conference Center and within walking distance. We arrived early on a Saturday evening with reservations, but it turned out we didn't really need them at that time. We ordered our drinks, which came quickly, and then placed our dinner order. However, our waitress returned after a brief absence to inform us that our food would not be ready for 30 minutes. It was during this time that another couple who arrived after us received their appetizer promptly, followed by another couple 15 minutes later. It was unclear what caused the delay, which was a bit unsettling. When our meals eventually arrived, we thoroughly enjoyed both dinners. The scallop tacos were delicious and the planked salmon was cooked perfectly. The reason for the long wait remains a mystery.
Being open at 7pm on a summer Sunday evening in Miramichi means you almost win customers by default. We panic ordered here, as it seemed almost all other options were closed. Watermelon Salad was surprisingly great, the description seemed like it was bluffing but it really worked. The hot honey chicken sandwich was a mess. Stale bun (toasting it couldn 't save this guy) that had a texture and a taste like it had been freezer burnt. Some sad lettuce and condiments like you 'd get on McD 's burger where the staff didn 't care. And the chicken itself was overcooked (maybe warmed up if it had already been frozen... Felt like it) and so tough that a few bites were inedible. Watermelon salad and being open when no one else was saved this place.
What a great meal! the steak was so tender that you can cut it with a spoon! amazing! we will come back!
