Sake Express - Monroe

Always good food, always friendly! That even gave my children Candy, because it was the day before Easter! So sweet people!

This place is absolutely a hidden jewel in Monroe! You always have incredible food and is a place my family has visited for almost a decade. I recommend the Hibachi chicken with additional carrots as well as the vegetable rolls. I HIGHLY recommends Sake Express locals and visitors alike.

Still can't go inside but the hibachi steak is great. Decent quality steak, sweet carrot perfection and their sauce is fantastic. The meal is enough for two people but I ate it all like a fat kid. It's drive thru only right now because of covid19.

When I call this place drive-thru Japanese, I mean it with the utmost respect and adoration. There should be more places like this around. I think the world would be better for it. Teriyaki Chicken is the go-to here — served with broccoli and honey-glazed carrots over a bed of fried brown rice — though the steak, shrimp, and scallops are all good options as well. Ridiculously friendly staff, delicious food, generous portions, and they’re about the only restaurant in town that maintains a 90+ health score. Call ahead if you’re in a rush; greatness takes time.
