The brisket is tender, the coleslaw is perfectly balanced with sweetness and tartness, the pickles are crunchy, and the fries are delicious. The restaurant is open until 5:00 PM for both kids and adults. Remember to be courteous to the waitstaff, as there are only two men working the entire establishment and they are always busy. Just pray that you don't need to use the restroom unless you want to don a hazmat suit.
If you visit Montreal and don't dine at Dunn's, your trip won't be complete. It's a must-visit spot with delicious food at a reasonable price. The menu offers a great variety of fresh options, and their bier and band fish and chips are definitely worth trying. The experience is simply amazing and unforgettable. We've been multiple times and can't wait to go back again. From start to finish, everything is outstanding and leaves you saying "wow!"
This was one of the closest smoked meat (or pastrami or brisket) to the montréal train station via and we had some transit time before the connection to québec and we rushed here to take the super combo smoked meat for dinner. we had not very high hopes at first, since montréal had a more famous smoked meat joint called schwartz deli, where the call was going, but was disappointed (if we finally tried). since we were really hungry, but appetit still relatiw asian, we have the ultimate combination to share. they took one because to prepare for eating, which meant that eating is not like a fast food chain where everything was ready and immediately and we had to wait one, see command serve and order to go slowly fulfilled before our came. it came in a bag packed in the box and politely handed over to us. we did not check and travel back to the train station to wait for the connection. when we opened it, we noticed that the sandwich was already divided into the half and that was perfect for us, we share the sandwich and began to dig at the station. at first bite, it was very moist and juicy and delicious (not awfully salty as some others). the fries were freshly cut and fried and therefore really nice. we fought for eating and in no time we finished the smoked meat sandwich, pommes and koleslaw. judging, among all the smoked meat we tried, this is by far the best for me, moist, tasty, fresh, no additional spicy or spicy required. fat was sufficient and melted as soon as it landed on its palate. it was really great, not because we were hungry and had no standards, but it was great because despite the crappy circumstances it was great. all in all this is really the best smoked meat I had in montréal and the part is great for the price.
If they know what they expect, you will meet this brand every time. about a football weekend we eat here twice. once because we really wanted, and once probably for the simple thing, they are open late (up to 5 o'clock). service by hazem was great. friendly and efficient, he was our waiter for both visit, thank you-you well done. to eat, simple sandwiches at night one. tipp: everyone gets a single sandwich and splits a side of pickel and shiny. Second night we went for a Cobb salad and a hotdog plate. dog and buns were great and a beautiful change in a restaurant. Tip: they can update them fries in the combo to poutine for $4....then shared with the other person, working a charm. Thanks again!
This restaurant is a small, cozy and pleasantly aromatic spot. It offers the best Montreal smoked meat I have ever had. The servers are delightful, friendly and attentive. The prices are very reasonable. And, best of all, the food is absolutely delicious. Every single dish is simply mouthwatering.
