Montville Cafe Grill

Had lunch here and the food, atmosphere and service was great! Ordered the Salt and Pepper Calamari and Lamb Greek Salad. Both meals I believe were priced accordingly to their portion sizing and taste. There was plentiful calamari and lamb on both dishes. The food was flavourful and the lamb was tender. Service was friendly and quick. Sitting out in the garden area with the water misters made for quite an atmospheric experience.

Food was edible. Although wasn’t as warm as I would’ve like it to have been when we finally received our order. Took my daughter and son to this establishment. Initially we were greeted with politeness and good hospitality. However, this quickly turned sour once our order was placed, we were made to wait what felt like an age for our food. Several customers who had ordered after we had received their food before ours. My children were very well behaved however started to show signs of agitation due as a result of being hungry and being made to wait forever for our food. After complaining not once but twice our food still didn’t appear. After waiting 45+ minutes from inception of our order to receiving our food by then I didn’t even want it. The steak was nice however was on the cold side. My kids enjoyed their food once it finally been cooked and brought to our table, like normal food establishments operate. In fact one of the customers that ordered after us had finished their food before ours had even been served. The atmosphere was dull and the young boy kept turning off the air con although you could clearly see that everyone was warm in there. In fact after we received a heavy downpour it became stifling with the sudden increase in the humidity levels. Obviously I’m not blaming this inept establishment for the weather but the fact that they could’ve left their AC unit running would’ve made it more comfortable. I would consider myself a well travelled and refined individual dining at many restaurants from London to Sydney and a number places in between. However this one for its service and atmosphere rates at the foot of the table. The wooden spoon goes to Montville Cafe Bar Grill.

Been here a few times but the pricing does not match the quality or quantity of the food unfortunately anymore. Plus having basically all the main dishes cost the same price doesn’t really make much sense. Online menu pricing is also not upto date. Price per person: $40–60 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

The food was great and delivered quickly. Love the bbq lamb with the Greek salad. Price per person: $20–40 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Lamb Salad
