Red Hen Tap House - Moorhead

Yesterday was my first time in The Red Hen, and it's easy to understand why. Behind the CVS jammed from the highway 10, this hidden gem is easy to miss, but certainly worth keeping. The Hahnenhaus has a clean, well-kept look that looks like the place has just opened, but on the contrary, this facility has drunk and served food for the last six years. After looking at the menu and advice of the helpful bartender I chose the Chicken Cordon Bleu Sandwich. Something I would not normally get, but is a popular choice. When I got my food, I wasn't just surprised, I was impressed. The sandwich was a big delicious mess that requires two hands and a stack of napkins. It was easy to see why this was a favorite among customers. I'm amazed and I'm gone. Overall a very satisfying experience.

Went here for the first time with my husband for my bday. Food was very good will go again. Walleye sandwich and chicken cord on blue sandwich.

Monday burger special is awesome!Staff is very friendly.

Staff was friendly and patient for someone who couldn't make up his mind. Food was really good, I recommend the fried pickles. Brisket sandwich was good and moist, not a lot of smoke flavor and would have preferred sliced rather than chopped. Good beer selection but could use another couple of taps. Over all I was happy with everything and will return.

3 of us had appetizers and drinks. Drinks were good and app. very tasty. Good portions. Server was very friendly and FAST!! Prices good too. Only comment is the booths.....large which was good but HARD ON THE BUTT!!
