They have a lovely garden and the waiter was very nice and helpful except for taking away our very good bottle of Bordeaux while there was still quite a bit left (which he brought back when we asked). The vegetable soup was very good and the paté was just OK. Both the sweetbread and Zurich veal émincé came in the same mushroom cream sauce- the émincé meat was very nice but the sauce had nothing to do with the sauce that I was used to when living in Switzerland, but the sweetbreads were very nice. The Rösti were a bit soggy, not as crisp as they should be. Not bad, but not great either.
The Chef was a one man show. The food was good but not spectacular. Service slow, but again a one man show. We found the restaurant pricy. Wine selection ok, but would have liked a couple of Napa valley choices.
We were excited to sample Swiss cuisine and opted to sit on the terrace. The service was friendly and attentive. The menu offered a variety of veal options, but we decided to go with steak and duck. Our food arrived promptly and was beautifully plated. The flavors were unique and intriguing.
After years of driving by ,we finally stopped and had a most cosy intimate wonderful dinner... Awesome cheese fondue, homemade everything, smoked salmon, the bread,desserts.... great patio dining ... not too fancy...just adorable!!!
