Riviera Maya Taqueria - MORRIS PLAINS

Sadly, the Morris Plains location has closed down. I was a big fan and a regular customer there. I went by one Friday and found a sign on the door. What a shame! Fortunately, both of their Rockaway locations are still open.

The staff was friendly and pleasant. However, the food could benefit from a bit more flavor. On the plus side, the prices are competitive.

I’ve enjoyed their delicious street tacos at both the Morris Plains and Rockaway Mall locations, and I find them to be far superior to the actual restaurant on Route 46 in Rockaway. Their hottest salsa is packed with flavor and a good level of spiciness—definitely worth trying!

Over the months, the quality of the food has declined. The sit-down dining area is dim and doesn’t feel very welcoming.

Affordable Mexican food. My shredded chicken taco was delicious, and it came with authentic soft corn tortillas. The atmosphere is laid-back. I'll definitely come back again.
