Palisades Cafe - Mount Vernon

Grabbed dinner here before hitting an incredible show at Mount Vernon Community Theatre! The aoli was over the top good!! Dietary restrictions: Nice gluten free bun!

Small restaurant with great food and service. I ordered the hamburger of the month with smoked gouda and onion bacon jam. It was delicious. Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance has 2 cement steps before the door with no railing. The door is at a sharp angle and narrow.

I loved the small-town cafe feel. Palisades was clean and tidy. The staff was great. One waiter was covering a full house for Saturday lunch, and he did it quickly, efficiently and in a friendly manner. My salad was fresh, crisp and tasty and my husband's burger was sumptuous. The fries weren't the crispest but were hot and had really good flavor! We ate every one!Dessert was pomegranate bread pudding that had just the right amount of spice and melted in our mouths.

You can't go wrong here because there's something for everyone, from kids to mature gourmands. And it doesn't just offer typical cafe fare. Whether you are out for a casual lunch or a celebratory dinner, you can find something that hits the spot like a traditional burger or specials like osso bucco with risotto. Vegetarian options, too. Plenty of wine and craft cocktails to choose from. Very easy atmosphere.

Two of my friends and I tried breakfast at Palisades Cafe yesterday. We were very pleased with the prompt and attentive service and the ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS breakfast food. I had the Denver Omelet, which is one of the best I’ve ever had. One of my friends had the Southwest Omelet, and my other friend had Eggs Benedict. Both their meals looked amazing. Portions here are very generous. All were served with crunchy Breakfast Potatoes and Toast. We all agreed we’ll patronize Palisades again. We’ve very fortunate to have this lovely cafe in our little town.
