Painters Homemade Ice Cream

Dairy-free ice cream! The mint Oreo flavor was nearly identical to regular ice cream, while the mango had a texture more similar to sorbet. The staff were very friendly, and the prices were reasonable. We will definitely return!

The Myrtle Beach area is filled with ice cream shops, but many of them don’t serve homemade ice cream. Painter's does, and it’s fantastic. I waited in a long line, but it was definitely worth it. I especially appreciated their selection of sugar-free flavors, which went beyond the typical options like vanilla; they offered unique ones like salted caramel and banana nut! (I'm not sure if the flavors change frequently, but when I ordered the salted caramel, a few customers nearby mentioned that it was delicious—at least the regular version!)

This place is definitely worth the wait (which moves quickly, I promise). The staff is incredibly friendly and efficient! I found myself returning multiple nights to try all the delicious desserts. I will definitely be making this a regular stop whenever I'm in the area!

Came here on Saturday and was here a few times prior to that. The ice cream is great and even better knowing it?s homemade. There?s a variety of choices and the staff is always quite pleasant. The specials are pretty interesting. I had the peanut butter dream and that it was! My mother had I believe black cherry and my father had butter pecan. Everyone enjoyed there?s. Wonderful! Loved the Mud Monster (chocolate chocolate almond ice cream, brownies and hot fudge). Lots of everything. The brownie pieces were bite-size, not tiny bits. It was almost too much for one person! Enjoy! Update July 2022: Painters is still an amazing bit of ice cream indulgence! The caramel confection with salted caramel ice cream, layers of caramel, and pretzels was worthy of a return trip the same week.
