Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónThe Gingerbread House is a very quaint little place. I had breakfast with my daughters and had a lovely time. The coffee is amazing!!! The food is absolutely fantastic . There is a little boutique upstairs and a bakery that must be stopped at before you leave. We are from out of town went on the recommendation of our hosts. Wowsa! Charming factor 100% Food taste presentation 100% Friendliness of staff 100% Length of wait for a table less than 10 minutes We had the eggs Benedict scrambled eggs with a hard rollboth were delicious food arrived fast. Very fresh hot. The only thing I didn’t love is my ‘hard roll’ was a soft brioche grilled bun. I’ve had excellent hard rolls was expecting that, since it is a bakery also, but none the less, the brioche roll was also good. Sadly we didn’t make it to try any of their sweet treatsnext time!
The food was okay but it left something missing. The burrito was large but was under seasoned. If you're expecting any spice in the burrito you'll be disappointed. The gingerbread latte was good, but if you like your latte hot, this was not, it was warm. The hot chocolate was also warm not hot. Wheelchair accessibility: The ramp was graded well but leads to a tight corner and at the top a door was propped open and there's a table right away so you have to ask the person sitting to scoot in to get by. The inside has tight corners and narrow walkways.
Decided to stop for coffee and a bake good, no problem waiting for a table. After being seated it was 15 minutes or before we were asked what were interested in ordering. Then a long wait for coffee, and the waitress forgot what my friend ordered to drink. She didn't write anything done to help remember. Our desserts came and were heated, I expected a cold dessert. We had to go up to the check out to pay bill, no one came back. Maybe an off day, but will think twice before returning.
Really like the Gingerbread House. It's such a unique experience. The food has always been excellent. It's not necessarily the cheapest meal around, but I feel like its a good value for the quality and the ambiance of the place. The building, gardens, and livestock (mostly chickens) make it a perfect place to have a meal or cup of your favorite beverage. I enjoy taking specials friends. And the desserts are to die for! I would have given it a perfect score, but I have found that quality of the wait staff is not always consistent. Unfortunately, you can tell when some of them are having a bad day.
