It was a disappointing and poorly made salad. I was shocked by the lack of effort put into it. The restaurant should be ashamed of serving such a subpar dish.
I was extremely let down by our dinner last Wednesday. The service was poor and the food was inedible. I opted for a seafood Chowder ($17), but it was thin and mostly consisted of bacon bits and salmon with just three mussels. It lacked flavor. Next, I ordered a Caesar salad ($17) that was drowning in dressing and breadcrumbs. Not only was it unappetizing, but it was also quite awful. I couldn't finish either the soup or the salad, and no one asked why. My friend ordered the vermicelli prawn salad, but unsurprisingly there was no vermicelli in it. Truly disappointing. I won't be returning anytime soon.
During our stay at the hotel, we dined at this restaurant. It offers affordable prices and a wide variety of dishes to choose from. We highly recommend trying the Prawn Pasta as a main course, as it was absolutely delicious. Alicia provided us with excellent service throughout our meal.
We have great meals there in the past, so we decided to go to the wedding day meal! My husband ordered the salmon and I ordered the chicken meal! When the plates were delivered to our table, we could see that the part was very small with these terrible vegetables that were probably left from the night before all were shaken up, the asparagus was a dried up, it looked like a grass leaf. The potatoes were huge ugly damped things only place on the plate, tasteless yellow with the skin on, the chicken was blah, even with a maple syrup could not save it! The salmon plate was also the same disaster! Each dish costs us $35,00 per, no salad, no bread! So disappointing, left message, nobody ever contacted me!
We enjoyed a quiet meal here while spending the night in the hotel. The staff from the host to the bartender to our server were all super friendly and professional! Top tier service! Food was excellent although the salad had a lot of frisée which...was on the bitter side. We ordered the pasta but asked to sub salmon for the prawns and the chef willingly complied. The black pasta was super cool! The flavors were wonderful and the portion perfect! We shared so we would have room for dessert the Nanaimo Cheesecake was oh so good and beautiful!
