"The Refuge Chardonnet was our set off point at for the traverse of Cretes du Raisin Parcours des aretes. It is a charming looking refuge that is kept well clean by its extremely friendly staff. The hike up from the parking area is less...than minutes, very easy and worth it for the pretty view over the meadows to the mountains. After our climb we thoroughly enjoyed the enormous portion of fresh salad with warm goats cheese and the omelette with goats cheese cured beef. It looked and tasted amazing and not only because we deserved it after a hour climb. The cappuccino was also wonderful. This is a lovely destination by itself or you can set off for bigger adventures from here."
