Jim is a great server. We had prompt service, food came quick and he checked back often. Beautiful view upstairs. The happy hour is a great deal with food and beverage specials. We will be back. Things we felt could help is the wall behind the bar upstairs is very white...paint or tile would make the bottles stand out as well as the TVs. Only two TV was on. I could see seven. Why not have all going?? We love sports. No bathrooms upstairs. It would be a wise investment to add to unisex one person bathrooms up there. The stairwell to go up is pretty drab. For being newish, dirty and their extra storage is under the stairwell. Looks unkempt.
The view of the oceanfront is spectacular from the Crow's Nest's open air second floor restaurant. On a Friday afternoon it was busy, but we were able to get a table for 2 right away. The summer salad with fresh grilled grouper was delicious.
Overall, a nice place close to the beach, but open table reservations do not work, and although I have called myself to confirm, they still have the reservations made when we are there. that was good. we ordered grilled mahi and the tuna poke appetizer for our main courses. the thunfish poke was quite large and very good, but a little too much fruit. the thun fish content itself was good enough. the grilled fish was great. when the ruckus came, it turns out that the fish was grouper, not the mahi we ordered (ugh, oh well, the grouper was quite delicious.)
We were seated upstairs at our reservation time, which was a feat considering the size of our party (9). The food was great and the service was fantastic. And the view is the best in New Smyrna Beach!
