Though they mentioned that seating was reserved for lunch, they still accommodated us. Unfortunately, we waited for about half an hour without any attention or service. Eventually, we decided to leave. As we were leaving, someone from the restaurant asked us why we were leaving. Overall, the bad service we received means we will not be returning to this establishment.
We stayed at Nottawasaga Inn on the weekend of August 12th and made reservations for that same day. We placed our food order and it arrived promptly after we had settled in. The steak was excellent, priced at $27 it was a great value and very delicious. One of my kids was young, so I had inquired over the phone about a children's menu and they did have one with a few options. I didn't ask about the pricing for the children's meal, so I was surprised when I received the bill and saw that they charged $15.95 for a plain hot dog and around 20 French fries. If I had known, I would have paid the extra $12 for a proper piece of meat for him. The steak was great and reasonably priced, but charging $16 for a plain hot dog is a bit much.
I highly recommend visiting this restaurant as they are offering a special date night promotion at the moment, which provides excellent value for the quality of their inventive food. They are also a great way to support local businesses during Covid. The service was exceptional, with a very relaxing atmosphere. Briana, the hostess, was extremely friendly and welcoming, while our server Destiny was very attentive. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, even if you prefer takeout options.
Buffet was hot. limited selection, taste is also good. many seating and a great view of the river. However, the service is very low to get our drinks orders.
If you want to go to brunch for ambiance, this is your place. Our server came promptly over once we chose a table and asked for our drink order. I felt like an ice water, but when she brought it there was a long hair...right in the glass. She apologized said “sorry if it’s mine” (not sure who else’s it would be as it was just sat on the table that second) but didn’t even offer to get a replacement. Gag. That kind of threw me off for the rest of the meal. I was extra aware of cleanliness and one of the hotel staff went up to the fruit tray and took some in his hands. Definitely not the quality for the prices they’re asking for the brunch.
