Bowl of matzo ball soup plus white fish bagel sandwich with 15% tip........ $42 CRAZY. Food AVERAGE. Just Crazy :
A very traditional deli in NYC, located in the 3rd Avenue. The place is small, but you can choose between seating on a table or over the balcony. There are several options in the menu, but the corned beef and the pastrami seem to be the most ordered. I've had the corned beef sandwich it was only bread and the meat and it was ok.
Great food in an unpretentious setting with friendly service. We wanted to try authentic kosher cuisine while visiting NY so we headed to PJ Bernstein's deli. We both had chicken soup which was delicious, my husband had the bomb knish and I had the Reuben, thank goodness only a half as it was huge! All superb, would definitely recommend.
I remember eating in PJ's back in 1975. I always came by once or twice a month after work. I lived close by in those days and always enjoyed myself and their yummy food. Sometimes famous people stopped by to eat while I was there. It was very nice to see everyone respected each other's privacy while we ate the delicious food being served. When I come back to NYC again I'll certainly stop by to enjoy their delicious meals. Thank you PJ's for adding joy to my fond memories of NYC.
