La Fornaretta - Newcastle

Was very excited to eat here but was sadly disappointed. The food was average and standard but nothing phenomenal. We had to wait quite a long time in between seeing our server and for how much everything was, it was okay. Th atmosphere is really cool but it's extremely hot inside so wear light clothing. Our entire party was starting to sweat after a while. Everything was pretty decent except one incident with the servers. We had three servers clearly talking about our table (turning around, snickering and staring, laughing, pointing, etc). It made some of our party very uncomfortable.

Amazing Italian food, super authentic and creative. Do yourself a favor and get the King Salmon and risotto (if it’s still on special! Or try the handmade ravioli or tortelli sugo incredible. Finish with the made in house tiramisu, it’s divine.

Adorably beautiful place!!! Food and service are both amazing. Linguine Tutto Mare and Chicken Parmigiano are worth the trip!!!

For italian restaurants in the area, they have the best tasting food. I feel like restaurants now a days don't have the flavor of before, but the spaghetti and meatballs here were delicious! Place is small and busy. Server kinda tucked so we had a bus boy take over! But yes. Good food.

Stopped in for dinner without a reservation and received a kind greeting. Staff were friendly, kind and funny. Burrata appetizer, sea bass with arugula risotto and cannelloni were delicious, well cooked and nicely plated. Can’t speak to their drink or desert selection but their water was delicious and glasses did not have any leftover dishwasher smells. Will be back when traveling between Tahoe and Bay Area. Our waiter tracked us down outside to deliver a hat left at our table. Thank you again!
