Tengu Sushi - Newport

I was visiting from Utah and wow, this place had amazing rolls! The Denver roll was definitely my favorite, with the Vegas roll coming in a close second. Enjoying the freshness of the food and the excellent service made the experience even better!

So first off for all the Hamachi (Yellowtail Nigiri lovers, it should be showing up on their online menu soon. They have a great offering of sushi for people who love sushi. For the sushi shy crowd, plenty of fried and crispy American style sushi rolls on the menu. Tonight?s treat is salmon, red snapper, and yellowtail nigiri. Alaska and Rainbow rolls. And a double Moscow Mule (not pictured at home. I haven?t and don?t plan to try anything else that?s not sushi on the menu. My only problem with sushi is I?m slightly allergic sometimes. Every time I eat more than 80 pieces of sushi I barf ;

We were happy to find Tengu Sushi. Tasty rolls. The sushi fish is fresh and delicious. Tried some favorites, rainbow roll, spicy tuna roll, etc. Next time we're ordering from the chef's special board to try something new. Great service and priced right. We will be back.

A cute hole in the wall that had great service and sushi! We had miso soup and 4 different rolls and they were all very tasty! They have a good selection of beer and sake! The sushi rice was a little neutral for our tastes but overall it was a great lunch!

The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the spring rolls, spicy tuna roll, blackened tuna roll, Philadelphia roll, tako (octopus) nigiri, hot saki, and jasmine tea. I wasn't a big fan of the tako but that is my own taste. Service was excellent, the restaurant was small, but clean and charming. It was a little chilly, I wish I had worn a sweatshirt or something.
