Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónFood was generally ok but not worth the price. Belly pork was about 80% fat and no meat plus a tiny portion. Squid was crispy but absolutely no flavour in the coating. Scallops barely cooked, not even colour on the outside of one and what is was paired with did not work. Random scattering of raw tomatoes and spring onion, the parsnip puree was nice but the rest of it poor. Lamb rump was good. Room was cold, fire was on but in jumpers we were not warm. Floor soaking wet in one area due to flooding?!
Requested table not given. Two of the six meals were sent back. One was replaced, the other one was refunded. Very disappointing. I had been (and enjoyed) some years ago and always wanted to go back. I recommended it to friends and we booked!. I won't go back again! Price per person: £40–50 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
Food was average. Service was sooo slow. No offer of money off or drinks or nibbles while waiting. We ordered main courses only and food took nearly two hours to arrive. Chips were undercooked. Goats cheese had no flavour and was presented really badly. Roast potatoes and vegetables on sea bass were cold. Generally very underwhelmed. Won’t be back. Price per person: £30–40
Great location and atmosphere. The place is set very smartly. Great selection of pints. We just had one starter each as we were on a walk. They were well presented and flavoursome. The crockery was beautiful but the cutlery let down the whole experience. It needs replacing for something that makes more justice to the experience. Went a second time on a Sunday, food was only available if booking in advance...dissapointed Service: Dine in
