Madara's Seafood - Newtown

The food was excellent, and the staff were very friendly! I have a couple of suggestions: 1) Offering ketchup without high fructose corn syrup would be a great enhancement. 2) It might be helpful to label gluten-free dishes with a star or something similar, as many people are mindful of this today. Fantastic restaurant! The blackened salmon sandwich might just be the best fish sandwich I've ever tasted—it's absolutely delicious. The staff is friendly as well. I give it 5 stars!

We were looking for seafood in the area. We were so glad we found Madara's seafood. We ordered the phone and the food was ready as promised. We have the crab cake plate and the combination plate that were both good. Everything was hot and it smells good. The prices are reasonable and the food was delicious! Open only on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so check the hours!

Really outstanding, fresh seafood. Service here is prompt and friendly. The best things are the blackened or grilled fish platters (double veggies, do your heart a favor), since they cook the salmon here so perfectly. As another reviewer has noted, this is some of the tastiest, if not the very best salmon, I've had, even compared to fancy restaurants. That said, the digs are spartan, this is a Farmer's Market, so expect plastic utensils, etc. I also recommend the Maryland Crab Soup, which is delicious, and they make many quarts to go.

Freshest seafood around! Love the shrimp, scallops, and salmon. Blackened tuna sandwich is awesome. Friendly service always.
