Ponderosa Steakhouse - Niagara Falls

Haven't been to a Ponderosa in years. It was very worth the drive. The food was good and fresh. The buffet options were great. The one star missing is for the lack of service. We saw our server once. Four of us had two to three plates of food. Our server picked up my salad plate and that was the last we saw of her. I will go back. Just leave room on your table to stack plates that no one comes to pick up. We still left a $10. Tip which I thought was too much and not earned but maybe she was just having a bad day.

Food was good! Wasn't a whole lot of variation on the buffet but it was good. 1/3 of the buffet was salad and salad toppings and some looked way fresher than others. I love the baked beans and their rolls. Guest liked the Mac and cheese, also really good. Oh, and the mashed potatoes were great as well! We had the steak and shrimp as the main entree, ordered medium and it was a bit undercooked, medium should have no blood, but we weren't fussy and it was very good. Manager was very friendly and made us feel welcome. The server was not as impressive.

Wow! You won't go hungry at this steak dinner for the price. They offer a blueberry Pepsi that's absolutely amazing. If I weren't watching what I eat, I would have never wanted to leave!

This was my first visit to a Ponderosa, and I was pleasantly surprised by the food. The medium-rare steak I ordered was cooked to perfection. The salad at the buffet was fresh, and everything else I tried was delicious. The lady at the register was friendly, and our server was prompt and courteous, making the entire experience delightful. The decor has a charming retro vibe, which I loved since I missed out on Ponderosa as a kid when there were more locations. Thank you for an amazing meal and a wonderful dining experience!
