Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónThe waitress was great to lead me into what I could eat. her menu was not marked, so I stuck with obvious decisions that confirmed them were gluten-free. I started with the Hooliberg salad, which was really delicious and had the neptune for dinner. the dish was lobster, fish garnel served on a hot stone that keep cooking on the table. another waitress took our dessert order and was not so sure in the gluten-free options, so that I stuck with ice cream and a merengue. when she dessert on the table, she confirmed with the kitchen that it was gluten-free, so I felt better. that was one of my favorite dinners of the trip. super delicious and I had no reaction.
Very disappointed. get us brot with gluten-free meal. service terrible. is on the hill.
The waiting staff is very familiar with their extensive menu. They know which items are in order or can be arranged. for example for my last visit, the server knew that the sweet potato doll contains with the grouper deer gluten, while the rice and the sweet are ok visit. at earlier visits the server has gone to the kitchen to make sure that something is or can be arranged.
No marked menu but since arriving in Aruba every server I’ve encountered basically has you pick out a few options and then they ask the chef. Leaving you very unconfident in safety. So, I didn’t bother with an appetizer or salad (more risk). I asked about the Neptune and he said that would work. Food was delicious. Skipped dessert too since nothing was marked nor my waiter didn’t mention anything. I ordered coffee with cream since I didn’t eat any courses with my family except one. And they have no creamer only milk. So, no coffee either. So far my favorite dinner on island but if they stepped up their menu (marked GF) and staff training it would be fabulous. I would have ordered shrimp cocktail, Caesar without croutons, the Neptune (mahi/shrimp/lobster) and chocolate crème brûlée. In the US these would all be GF but not sure here.
The waitress was great in terms of guiding me in what I could eat. Their menu wasn’t marked so I stuck with obvious choices all of which she confirmed were gluten free. I started with the hooliberg salad which was really tasty and had the Neptune for dinner. The dish was lobster, fish shrimp served on a hot stone that continued cooking at the table. A different waitress took our dessert order and wasn’t as confident in the gluten free options so I stuck with ice cream and a merengue. When she brought dessert to the table she confirmed with the kitchen that it was gluten free so that made me feel better. This was one of my favorite meals of the trip. Super super tasty and I had no reaction.
