We had a great experience skiing at Sugar Bowl. All staff were very on top of things both on and off the slopes. Rented all equipment with no hitch and had a great time. We had a variety of diets in our group and there were food options in the Judah Lodge for everyone.

I was there for the Ragnar Trail Running event. We did the Glamping. Loved it. The scenery is beautiful. Only downside are the mosquitoes. Good idea to wear pants, long sleeved shirts, and still use repellant. Even during the day. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5
I've skied all over CA for 40 years and had never tried Sugar Bowl. It's actually been around a long time and the skiing was very good, although a lot may have been due to the huge amount of snow this year. Plenty of varied terrain and decent facilities family friendly but also some serious steep terrain and chutes to appeal to experts. It's not that much closer to Sacramento and the Bay area than the big resorts just to the east, but noticeably quicker to get to because you don't have to deal with Hwy. 89.
