Higher Heights Caribbean - Norfolk

Wow i came on here to express how rude the older lady at the register was to me i had to walk out and i see many other customers on here beat me to the point lol... she should not be in the front dealing with customers honestly.. I'm from out of town NY and went there because I'm staying in the area for three weeks and from i stepped in and ask what's on the menu she started giving me attitude she refuse to tell me what they had. And it didn't stop there.. long story short. I told her before walking out i hope she treats everyone the same as she did with me and they do the same and walk the hell out. Until no one coming there to buy their food and the business closes! ?

The shrimp is small, the food is bland overpriced but the staff was nice.

The oxtails are delicious but they are expensive. Not to mention the lady at the counter is very mean and rude. She snapped at me one day for asking her a question about how many oxtails Comes in the large plate.

Got the Large order of oxtail meal for $22.78. 5 medium pieces of oxtail, white rice and cabbage with carrots. Nothing I was served was bad...... It just wasn't good! The oxtail tasted like something that my grandmother would have cooked back in Texas which would have been fine if I was at a soul food restaurant. I was there for that Caribbean taste and they lacked what I wanted.
