Cranmore Mountain Resort - North Conway

This place is a Marriott disappointment and falls short of Bonvoy standards. There were many small issues that added up: no lids for the morning coffee, no gluten-free options in the restaurant, and no lettuce for the only available salad. Upon check-in, we were given a different room than what we had booked and paid for. The mattress was far too hard, and the linens felt almost rough on the skin. I won't be returning here. While the scenery was beautiful, I would recommend avoiding this location if possible.

We also did not receive a warm welcome from the staff, except for one woman at the ticket desk. We felt like we were intruding on the attendants' day. The ski lift attendant didn’t tell us that we needed to pull the ski bar down ourselves, and, since we’re not skiers, I figured it out only as we were starting our ascent. A simple reminder to pull the bar down would have been appreciated, especially with a 6-year-old in tow. The attendant at the bouncy house race said “ready, set, go” for the kids, but lacked any enthusiasm, making the moment fall flat. It may have been better not to say anything at all. It seemed like the staff were mostly college-aged or younger, and they should really be more energetic and engaging with the guests—this was noticeably lacking. Lastly, the guy at the top of the mountain who served snacks and ice cream simply laughed and smirked while I was ordering. The staff could really benefit from some training in customer service.

I really enjoyed the mountain coaster! The views from this spot are amazing!

The mountain bike park is an absolute blast! The staff, especially a guy named Ufuk, are incredibly helpful when it comes to getting your bikes on and off the lifts. It's important to have some confidence in your riding skills before you go, and I highly recommend renting a full-face helmet if you don’t have one. Make sure to use the pass to access the other lift that takes you to the top, which is included in the day pass, and take in the stunning views!

An excellent experience for anyone who loves winter activities! There's something for everyone, including the little ones. Tubing is particularly enjoyable for kids and easy on the wallet for parents.
