Went to Cup of Jo's for the first time today. Very quaint, country house turned cafe. Old fashioned decor. You order at the counter they give you your drinks and you sit anywhere. They only sit 30 maximum. They take your name and then bring...your order to you. The menu is very reasonably priced for the quality, definitely aimed at seniors income. The menu is small but thoughtfully put together. Breakfast and Lunch items only. Range from soup, sandwiches, salads, crepes and muffins and bars. Gluten free items are available upon request. The coffee is very good and they make a great. cappuccino. We ordered the vegetable soup with some bread and a spinach, mushroom and feta omelette . The food was delicious. The soup was the kind your grandmother would make, hearty and flavourful. The omelette was packed with cheese and veggies and came with thick toast. We ended up splitting a berry crepe for dessert. because it looked so good. A definite gem. Worth a trip out to Winchester.
Cup of Jo's is absolutely brillant as I scored big points with our group today as it was my turn to pick. Located in a beautiful repurposed house with bright and airy rooms. Counter staff today were very fun to be around and the Latte's...were so big they should have had a diviving board! Counter pastries really redefifined the term decadent. It is really worth the drive from Ottawa
We pre-ordered a pie for our family Thanksgiving, it was hands-down the BEST pie we ever had. The pastry was melt-in-your-mouth flakey, and the strawberry rhubarb filing was soft and full of flavour (not that cheap over-sweet taste). It was like grandma-level pie. Great work!...Already placed our next order!
Such a wonderful restaurant ! The atmosphere is a cute rustic heritage home, with lots of seating and great staff. Absolutely loved the homemade style food ! 10/10
