Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónVisited Cleethorpes last weekend (27/5/23 with my family, with a view to going to the beach, having lunch, then taking my young son on the train. Lunch was ordered, four trays of chips, and paid for without problems. We were then given one tray of chips. When asked where the other three trays were, I was met with blank looks, and one panicked lady sprinting around yelling 'just a minute ' to everyone. I was ready to write it off as an honest mistake, until two trays of chips arrived. When asked about the missing one, the young staffer tried to palm me off with You 've had them. I told them we hadn 't, and was k certain again met with a more, *ahem* assertive blank look. Eventually, I caught the attention of 'just a minute ' lady again, who, FINALLY, sorted another tray. No apologies. No acknowledgement. Nothing. Just There you go. Suffice to say, the NEAR HOUR IT TOOK TO COOK FOUR PORTIONS OF CHIPS, whilst having to listen to the staff prattle on about going out and getting drunk, whilst I stood with a more angry customer who had waited for over an hour for a hot dog that arrived cold, and without the advertised sauces etc... ended up with my son 's train ride cancelled, and a promise we 'd kept all term broken. Because of Kingsway (and don 't write me off with 'should have come earlier '. Due to certain mental health reasons, our son 's routine is set with little wiggle room. You can only imagine his reaction when the food came after such a long time, and we had to break it to him that his trip had to be cancelled. ...and to add insult to injury, the three portion we had to practically fight for arrived undercooked, with one being near inedible. It was a peak time/holiday season/Bank holiday . Isn 't good enough either. It 's Cleethorpes, a holiday destination for over a hundred years. You should be prepared for custom, not a mother 's meeting about who did what with whom whilst [coarse term for drunk].
We always stop here for a couple of beers after our walks along the seafront, the beer is good and the staff are always friendly and helpful ! Yesterday my wife lost her purse and after an hour or so we went back to the Kiosk and we were amazed to find that the staff had kept it safe behind the counter ! Although we are not sure how my wife mislaid the purse we would like to thank the very honest person or staff member that handed it it or kept it safe ! Very rare in this day and age ! Thanks again for your honesty it made our day !,
The Kingsway Kiosk is in an ideal spot for relaxing, drinks and great food, the staff are really pleasant and work very hard,me and my wife regularly go to the kiosk and always have a coffee and a sarnie, the entertainment is first class and always attracts big crowds, singers, groups and the 40s days are always first class.....well worth a visit...x
It's well placed for a coffee stop and more when walking along the seafront. Quite a range of food and drink in offer here.
A great little place to sit outside or inside at the quieter end of Cleethorpes beach half way between the pier and the boating lake. A great position with public toilets right next door. The menu is extensive and the food was good. Great for a breakfast and coffee or a light lunch. Plenty of outside and inside seating with a bar at one end. The staff were all young and were great. Chatty, helpful and smiled. Worth a stop as you walk by
