Quiet and cosy.Although lately the prices for especially the beers seem to be rather steep. We expect a healthy mark up but paying $25 for a beer that is $10 at Parkhill Cellars is just a tad steep.
Anyone living in North Melbourne would recommend giving this place a try if you're in search of a good cocktail. They've got an amazing range to choose from. I love that they don't go for the more well known brands, it means that you'll be likely to discover something a little different. The beers on tap are great and the cheese is delicious too. The staff really know their stuff and can help you find something you'd like. It's just a short tram ride from the city. Definitely worth visiting.
I popped in here with a friend to check it out as a party venue and was thrilled to find another little gem of a bar to add to the list of great places to take friends when the location suits. It ticks all the boxes for me great cocktails (and they have big ice blocks! , good service, quirky without being hipster and a good nibbles menu. Actually, I probably won't wait for the location to suit as I'm still dreaming of the chicken liver pate we tried. I will be trying to find an excuse to go home via North Melbourne very very soon.
The service in here is second to none. Even if my partner and I don't make it in for a few months they still remember what we like to drink. The drinks selection is varied and is always being updated and the staff are really knowledgable. But it's still down to earth and not at all stuck up. Love the vibe here.
