We came to this restaurant for lunch today and were seated at a great table with a view of the Quay. We ordered three baguettes - two prawn and one cheese and onion - all of which came with crisps and a side salad. The salad dressing was exceptional and the prawns were fresh and delicious. We also ordered a children's fish and chips, which my child said was the best he's ever had and cooked perfectly. The Sands restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas, clean, organized, and had a fantastic atmosphere with Christmas music playing. The service was excellent, and the friendly owner went above and beyond for us. We will definitely be returning!
We had a fantastic experience at Sands restaurant. The food, service, and atmosphere were all amazing. I would highly recommend this place. The attention to detail in the food was greatly appreciated, and the view of the harbor, as well as the lovely staff, made our evening extra special. Sands is always our first choice when we are on vacation in Wells.
Fantastic evening meal, Sea Trout, Fish Crumble and Gammon all exceptional and effortless done by 2 lovely ladies, one serving and one in the kitchen, bravo for providing great service and great food.
Food is very good and quiet peaceful spot upstairs from Plattens. Service is polite but as only one waiter for the whole restaurant you need to be patient we did quite well but other tables we could see were irritated with the delay. We did give up on desserts as the dessert menu never came even though we were asked but have to say the main courses were very good seafood platter and mussels are good and fresh. Don't recommend the local cider though! We would return I am sure its a lovely place too to eat lunch at with a daytime window view.
