The worst customer service I've received from a coffee shop. The server made a face when I asked her to use my points and the eggnog latte was the worst coffee I've had. Stale and so bitter, had to throw it.

My problem with establishments like Second Cup (or Starbucks or Tim Hortons is two-fold. Firstly, the beverages lack any type of taste or aroma. Secondly, the hot beverages are not even hot. They are often lukewarm. This is even true for Pilot or many independents. When ordering hot chocolate I have found that Second Cup is the best of the bunch. I had a medium hot chocolate in this small, desolate and forgotten Second Cup and it was good. No waiting, no line-up, no self-order panel with other people's dirty finger prints (why do they call their screens kiosks?? and my hot chocolate had taste and was hot enough that I enjoyed it walking for the next ten or so minutes. They have hot and cold beverages, cakes and loaves. Enjoy.
