The atmosphere was more casual than I anticipated, with a relaxed vibe that was slightly on the noisy side, resembling more of a bar than a restaurant. During our meal, we enjoyed dishes such as octopus, Caesar salad, fusilli, and fatto a mano. The Caesar salad was expertly prepared and delicious, boasting the perfect balance of flavors. The freshly made pastas were also outstanding and full of flavor.
Our final dinner in Northampton was delicious and satisfying. We ordered two pasta dishes, one appetizer, and two desserts for three people. The portions were generous and perfect for sharing. Don't miss out on the focaccia bread!
The food at this restaurant was excellent, and I appreciate the owner's dedication to taking care of the kitchen staff by adding 5% to the bill. However, the timing of food delivery was a bit off. We ordered cocktails and our meals at the same time, expecting to have some time to enjoy our drinks before the food arrived. Unfortunately, our focaccia and salad came just 2 minutes later, followed by a 35-minute wait for our main courses. The restaurant could benefit from acoustic panels or other noise-dampening decor, as it was difficult to hear each other even though the restaurant was only half full. Additionally, the wait staff seemed to be rushing around constantly, which was a bit of a distraction during our meal.
We began our evening at the restaurant by being seated at what I would consider the least desirable table, even though there were plenty of other tables available. When we requested a table by the window for a quieter area to talk, the young hostess seemed annoyed. She later returned and informed us that we could not have the table we wanted because it could only accommodate three people, despite there being four chairs with place settings. However, when we left, she seated four people there. Perhaps we were not young enough for the front window. The noise level from the hard surfaces made it difficult to hear each other. The food was mediocre, with unimpressive appetizers and flavorless meatballs served in an acidic tomato sauce. My pasta dish was dry and lacking in taste. The martini was undersized and not properly chilled. Our server was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, despite hearing positive reviews about this place, I must say that it was not worth the time, money, and calories. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Went here for my birthday and WOW that spaghetti...I'm dreaming of it. The pasta was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and oh my lord those mushrooms! Great beer selection, tons of other fun drink options, a chill atmosphere with great service. I willabsolutely be back, and I highly recommend it!
