It was much quieter than the ones on the main street (at ~19:00 on a Friday evening in June) which we liked. Would 10/10 recommend the visit.
Had an excellent food with the family. The pizza with mushrooms and prosciutto was perfect. The pasta with seafood very nice and tasty. Perfect the pistachio ice cream all done with love. English speaking waitress. Recommend.
We went there last night for a pizza with friends, during the Infiorata festival. We arrived at 9.20 and we could tell that they were rather busy, although not full capacity. The waiter told us that we would have to wait about 15 minutes for the food. I asked if the 15 minutes wait was accurate and he said yes. I asked again and he said yes. Fine. We took the table and after 5 minutes ordered 4 pizzas, 1/2 lt of house wine and some water. After 30 minutes we were still waiting for our drinks. We asked and finally the drinks came. In the meantime we noticed that one of the cutlery bags on our table had a proper dirty knife (looked more like a kitchen knife different from the other ones on the table , a blonde waitress apologised and said “oh they’ve made a mistake”, took the knife, off she went and never came back with a replacement. After another 15 minutes, still no knife and most importantly no food. We asked twice for the knife to a different waiter and we finally got it. 45 minutes on and still no pizza! We asked the waiter how long it would be for the pizzas and with a scared face he said “I DON’T KNOW”. Shocking! We waited for another 15 minutes, the restaurant was now nearly empty and asked again how long our pizzas would be, they said “they are in the oven”. At some point the waiter came out and told us that they’d ran out of one of the ingredients in our pizzas so we had to think of an alternative. Hassle, they could have told us before. In the meantime we had drunk up all our drinks! After another 20 minutes (Total wait:1 hour and 20 minutes we noticed that a table who had ordered way after us, was served. At that point we weren’t even hungry any more, just tired (it was nearly 11pm ! We got furious and told the waiters that we were going to leave without eating, stood up and started heading towards the exit. They expected us to pay for the drinks with a waiter literally chasing us to the doorstep and loudly shouting “you have to pay for the wine” which made all of the other clients turn their heads towards us!!! Outrageous, they should have paid for the waist of our time and the ruined night out on our holiday! Eventually the blond restaurant manager lady apologised and said that the pizzas were in the oven (ahahahah! and if we wanted we could go back to our table and eat them or take them home and she finally also convinced herself that it would be sensible not to make us pay for the drinks! Final note: DON’T GO. Also, like someone wrote in these reviews, PIGEONS DO POOP ON YOUR HEAD WHILE YOU EAT in the courtyard! Filthy, disgusting place with a non existing customer service. Rude waiters who forget about customers and get annoyed when asked for something.
We visited twice and had pizza on both occasions. Excellent choice of pizza even though I am vegetarian. Superb value 25 euros for the two of us for an excellent pizza each and a beer each. Seating is in a really lovely little courtyard and although it's nothing fancy, service was good and friendly and the pizza superb. Highly recommend.
Oh dear it felt like we were an inconvenience. The pizza was good service rubbish and food took ages to come and drinks
