Trattoria 225 - Oak Park

We are big fans of this neighborhood gem! So glad they survived the pandemic days have remained open. The food is consistently excellent and the service is exceptional. Bar drinks.... always filled to the rim and complement our meals. One of our favorite appetizers is the Steamed Black Mussels. They're prepared just right and wonderfully fresh and seasoned. Recently, our appetizer had several mussels which had not opened. We talked to our wait staff about it and they replaced the unopened mussels with a fresh appetizer. Their response to this request with so much kindness that makes our dining experience very positive and in our perspective, exceptional. Highly recommend dinner at Trat 225!

Service poor, waitress always disappeared. Food terrible. I ordered a breast of chicken with a lump of crab meat on linguine. I received linguine with pieces of chicken mixed and no crab meat. Never again..

The atmosphere is delightful, sort of a deconstructed Tuscan feel with an artistic flare. I'd love to hear more music, maybe more art on the walls. Comfortable chairs, good distance between tables. Service was exemplary and the food was carefully prepared and scrumptious!!

Best Italian restaurant experience I've ever had. The food, amazing! A must visit for anyone looking for great Italian food.

Many tasty choices. Prices match the portion size. Pizzas thin and overcooked. Service very laid-back and reasonably attentive.
