Jim's Fried Chicken - Oklahoma City

I went through the drive through for this review. I normally would use the drive through on a place that I was going to review but was in a hurry. I ordered a dark chicken dinner with a pecan pie. The wait time was quick and my order was correct. The chicken was good, crispy crust and very juicy. The sides was coleslaw and mashed potatoes gravy which was good and flavorful. The pecan pie was rich and sweet which I enjoyed. The overall meal was good but didn't stand out against other chicken places. I thought the price was a little high for what I ordered but not enough for me to get upset about. I would recommend this place and probably will return but not a regular place for me to go to.

Owned by the Swadley family this cute little chicken place is located in Nicoma Park.  We ordered sides of mashed potatoes, and macaroni and cheese, along with the 3 piece chicken meal.  The food is good, but the service is outstanding!  very friendly and helpful staff!  They had some delicious looking chocolate and strawberry cake, however we did not partake on this visit, maybe next time!

We 've been back several times after the rebuilding, and the 'new ' Jim 's, which is owned by the Swadley 's, is even better.  The chicken is perfect, and has larger pieces, and several new sides are really good.  The expanded indoor seating area is really nice.  I hope it stays in business a long, long time.  Our family of four has a check in the $50 range, and we almost always take food home.  Great stuff.

First of all, an apology to my readers.  I got off track with my restaurant reviews a year and a half ago.  Since then, Urbanspoon was eaten by Zomato, and I think I have been to over 100 new restaurants in that time, some of them very good and worthy of a review.  I will try to get to those over the next couple months.  Regardless, I will do a better job of keeping up with new places in the meantime.  This is the start of that effort.

Employees are very kind ! Someone always asking how everything is and if you need anything. . Very clean. A little pricey but enjoyed the Chicken and there dipping sauces and a huge fan of there sweet tea and cole slaw.
