Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónI booked an afternoon tea service to celebrate a milestone birthday. Right from the check-in experience, the service felt off. The hostess kept on telling me that I didn’t have a reservation numerous times flipping through her iPad. I finally said “this is for the afternoon tea service” and she said “well why didn’t you say so?” And found my reservation. We were seated and that was the beginning of incredibly long waits for the remainder of the experience. Our poor waitress seemed to be the only staff attending to ALL the afternoon tea tables, which is incredibly concerning. I could tell she was stressed and flustered so I am not faulting her, but management really should be doing something to prevent this. She was overworked and service was extremely lacking. The tea and food were great but it was overshadowed by how we were treated. Going in to the experience, I have heard many times that service was poor. This was confirmed and I probably won’t be returning. It is a huge disappointment that such a beautiful and special space is managed in this way.
We had a lovely afternoon tea experience. We visited during a semi-blizzard in Oklahoma, so it was quite serene. The food was decent, and both my wife and I enjoyed the tea. The ambiance was pleasant, especially considering it's in a historical building, which is a rarity for us.
Tea was delicious!!!! Service was great!! Christmas decor was beautiful!
The high tea offerings were the same as during my visit on December 3rd, which was somewhat disappointing. The sandwiches made with dry white bread were barely filled, and the scones were hard and dry—definitely needed some jam or toppings to make them enjoyable. The chocolate candies served for dessert were also quite uninspired. It's a pity that such a large hotel would serve such a lackluster high tea. They could certainly learn from other hotels of similar size. Even Inspirations Tea Room in Edmond could easily surpass them! They certainly don’t compare to St. James Tea Rooms in Albuquerque, NM. I hope they make improvements. On a positive note, the charcuterie board was very good, and the service was exceptional!
My water glass was dirty, and we found moldy strawberries on our charcuterie board. The bread on the mini tea sandwiches was dry and obviously had been left out for hours. The server promised to replace the board and adjust our bill, but nothing was done about our check. I decided to just pay and leave. It was expensive and not worth the nice atmosphere.
