Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónDined there on May 29. The food was superb ? Fresh, apparently locally grown produced ingredients which is what attracted us. We had the cheese platter to start, which was wonderful. The table bread was far better than one could reasonably ask. The salad with dates etc. was likewise wonderful. The flat iron steak was quite good. Sorbet delightful. There was a soup which perhaps was squash or some other vegetable? I forget? But I recall it was fresh and tasty. The service was acceptable, no complaints there. The decor is fine? Classic Maryland small old house feel. Two negatives. First? And this is a major point for me, but probably less important or not important for most people? Is the eighties soundtrack music, which seemed cloyingly out of place in such an otherwise distinctive venue. Call me a snob, but something about Slow Food and commercial pop doesn 't mix. Being in Olney shouldn 't require a lowest-common-denominator approach to music. Second? A minor point? Is that, although it is nice I suppose to advertise one 's environmental virtue by displaying a large Wind Power banner, the banner shouldn 't obscure the nice old original sign on the front of the house. Just a suggestion!
Was very disappointed in your restaurant on Sunday evening. They were out of most wines, messed up pizza order and had a very lethargic waiter who was more interested in the football game then us. If the manager was the least bit interested in keeping customers he would have offered to comp us for the glass of wine or a free desert. It will be a long time before I would feel comfortable going back to this restaurant.
