My family spent Easter lunch at il glicine and we ate incredibly well. The food was great, the service was excellent and the location is beautiful. We will be back!

This is a really rustic agriturismo above lago d'Orta in piedmont. A tricky drive or long walk upwards are both worth it for the view, the waterfalls and the delicious locally produced food. These are the slopes of Mottarone so leave Room For the mirtilli and lampone berries for pudding. Before that its spaghetti and plates of meats and cheeses with locally made pickles. And a huge amount of incredibly inexpensive red wine. So much that, when combined with mirtilli grappa, you may want to skinny dip in the waterfalls alongside the inevitable Germans. Great produce to take home for presents too.
