Trattoria Semplice - Orangeville

Amazing food, service very attentive but not TOO over bearing. 5 out of 5!! Husband and I both agreed this is our new favourite spot (new to us)... and will be back. Reasonably priced for date night, and lovely atmosphere for a quiet dinner as well.

Not sure if we went on a off night. Our server seemed very disinterested in serving us at all. Took him almost 20 mins to take our order after we received our drinks. The meal almost an hour and half to come and the place was not even busy. Only 4 other tables were occupied. Food was nothing special, but the pasta was under cooked. Seems sad that a italian restaurant can’t seem to perfect cooking pasta. Chicken parmigiana was dry and over cooked. They have grilled calamari advertised but not on their menu. Overpriced for a mediocre dinner with terrible service.

Had a craving for pasta, and tried this place for the first time. Ordered the rigatoni bolognese and it was excellent. Will definitely be back.

Just found out about this place. Amazing! The portion is good and the food is excellent. I usually go to greystone but the food was much better here.

As a chef…. Apps were good, calamari should come with lemon but was good otherwise. We were not asked if we wanted bread when the person sitting in front of us was. Chicken was cut very small for the add on in my pasta but the pasta was tasty, could have used a little more cream for a rosé. The pizza…. I wouldn’t call it pizza. Not sure what the dough was but it wasn’t pizza dough, the sauce was just your basic marinara, not what you would get a a typical Italian restaurant. Maybe I’m just nit picking because I grew up eating at one of the best Italian restaurants in the city but overall it wasn’t terrible but could have been better.
