Stopped by Ormond Taco Bell for a quick bite. The order taker was polite and friendly and described the items in the $5 box. I order it and he repeated my order and ask me to pull forward. At the window the cashier said ?your order is 5.33?. I gave the order taker 20.38 and I have 20.38 here for you. She took the money and came back with my change and said ?here?s your 15 dollars?. She then brought the wrong drink diet lemonade. I let here know that I had ordered the mango ice tea. Even through here mask I could see that unhappy look and she dumped the diet drink and refilled the cup with mango ice tea. I asked her if the drink she had just dumped out of the cup was diet. She said she did not know. I am allergic to artificial sweeteners, sucralose. She threw the cup in the trash and got another and filled it with the mango ice tea, handed it to me and closed the window. She had given me my order with the first cup but there were no straw or napkins. I wait at the window until she came back and asked for straws and napkins. The food was good and fresh. If not for the attitude of the drive thru cashier it would have probably been a five star review.
We visited the drive-thru late at night, and I was pleasantly surprised by how fresh and hot the food was, and it was ready in no time. To top it off, they included six extra hard-shell tacos for free!
I misunderstood my order and went back to talk to the managers. Unfortunately, they raised their voices and were reluctant to make a replacement. I understand they were under pressure, but it still wasn't a pleasant experience.
I had a very unpleasant experience at this restaurant. The service was poor, and they brought me the wrong dish. When I attempted to resolve the issue, they insisted on charging me for the correct meal. I returned the incorrect item, but it seemed like they were neglecting health and safety protocols, particularly in light of COVID concerns. Ultimately, I ended up eating what they served, but it was disappointing. They should have managed the situation much more effectively from the beginning.
