Located in downtown Oroville, Nori Asian Kitchen Sushi offers a variety of Asian dishes as well as excellent sushi. This review will focus specifically on their sushi offerings. Our group of three visited for dinner on a weekend evening and were seated promptly. We decided to try their dragon roll, rainbow roll, and two chef's special rolls. The chef's special roll is a surprise roll where the diner can give some instructions (such as no cucumbers or spice) and leave it to the sushi chef's creativity. We found this concept to be both amusing and intriguing, and it was definitely the highlight of our dining experience. We enjoyed all four rolls, with fresh fish and flavorful ingredients expertly prepared. If you find yourself in Oroville and craving sushi, this is the place to go!
This restaurant is fantastic! The portions are large and everything I tasted was wonderful. It reminds me of Mikuni. The calamari is the best I've ever had! The service is excellent.
Eat! Must taste the chefs. Tell him what you want and he'll let it happen! My wife and I ordered too much for both of us, but it was absolutely delicious. They played great music, had a very clean restaurant and had a wonderful service. Will definitely come back here in the future.
I'm glad we have an Asian fusion type restaurant in Oroville. And for the most part they are a decent restaurant. Their appetizers are good, but a few of the entrees I've tried were less than impressive. Plus the last couple times I've been, the floors were sticky and the humidity level was uncomfortable. On my last experience I ordered Hamachi Kama, as the picture shows, it was inedible more closely resembling fish jerky than the delicacy I was expecting. I have had good experiences here, and I don't want to give a totally negative review, just go with limited expectations.
