Nando's Peri-peri - Ottawa

Grilled at its best with perfect coating of the flavour.. solicitously cooked , luscious taste.. complete platter of spices and the best part was the different kinds of sauces which added more piquancy .. Delightful taste ..must try place .. 8/10

Would you judge me if I said the best dish here is the veggie mushroom and cheese sandwich! <br/ <br/ I haven't visited the other Nando's here but this one definitely lives up to the hype.

Best Nandos in Ottawa. <br/ <br/ OK I get it, some items the portions are ridiculous for what you pay. That is why you stick to the items that you know it will be worth it like the sandwich.<br/ <br/ <br/ Always busy when ever I go so prepare to wait a bit. The owner/ Manager is super sweet. He consistently walks around making sure everything is good. He makes the experience pleasent.<br/ <br/ <br/ I just wish they had more space .

Have to say, fast food can have good quality items. Like the chicken but surprised the brochettes aren't better? Potatoes great. Meat quality for a chain is quite good.

My husband has been talking up this place for a few years so I was happy to give it a try today. <br/ <br/ He ordered a quarter chicken with fries and I went with a veggie option: Portobello Mushroom with Halloumi Cheese and Chilli Jam $7.50 . I know it's an oddball order for a place which is known for its chicken, but there it is. I was not disappointed! It's a large bun that is fresh and toasted. All of the flavours married marvellously and the chili jam provided a welcome amount of heat. It was quite drippy/messy to eat and I was close to using my knife and fork. Not not ideal date food if that's what you're looking for! : <br/ <br/ Husband's chicken meal was supposed to be a quarter chicken meal but a drumstick and small thigh seemed a little less that a quarter of a chicken. Oh well.<br/ <br/ The service was very good and although it may not seem like much from the outside, it's actually not a bad little resto. Very casual... and there seemed to be a lot of workplace type lunches going on. I should point out that it got very loud, especially over the busy lunch hour.
