Afghani Kabob Express - Ottawa

Delicious Afghan food right in the heart of downtown Ottawa. Just a few steps away from Parliament hill. The place is super clean and provides a home style environment for dine costumers. The food is also very healthy and super filling. To anyone planning on going, order the tandoori chicken plate, you won’t regret it :

I really enjoyed the food. I ordered the grilled chicken salad. The meat was spiced really nicely. The chicken was tender and moisture. I would definitely buy this again. My only complaint...the pic in the menu showed a full chicken breast. But what was served was chicken chunks. But again, it was very delicious. The service was great. It may have been the mum taking my order, but she was very sweet. At the end, she asked me about me meal and was very genuine. I will definitely return.

If you're looking for a restaurant with big portions of delicious food, I highly recommend this place! I absolutely love it. The only thing I would suggest is that they increase the portion size of the yogurt in their meal combo, as it's currently quite small. Other than that, the food is always tasty and satisfying. Check it out if you're in the area!

Halal lamb shank!!!A very good place to enjoy the lamb shank, meat is so tender and delicious!!!I have never seen such warm customer service by the owner!!! I would highly recommend to enjoy the food and experience in that restaurant!!! It’s my go to place now for every weekends.

I love this place. Nothing fancy decor wise but it's a clean eat in restaurant with very nice chefs and staff. Aside from that, the food is just plain delicious and servings are pretty huge. My favourite meal is the Drumstick Platter which gets you a healthy serving of rice with 4 well seasoned drumsticks, salad and naan. Their prices are fair for the quality and quantity of food you get. It's takes a while to get your food because this isn't a fast food place your food gets cooked after you order it (love that), so don't be in a big hurry. I've been there many times (including take out), will continue to go, not only for the food, but because I am treated well there great customer service.
