Prohibition Public House - Ottawa

This restaurant has an incredible atmosphere with a great selection of beer, liquor, and wine. The staff always takes great care of us when my friends and I come here for charcuterie and wine on Thursday nights. Honestly, the charcuterie here is the best in Ottawa. The baked Brie wheel and bbq duck are also outstanding. This place is a hidden gem in the city!

I instantly fell in love with the restaurant from the moment I walked in. The cozy and rustic decor is amazing. The food and cocktails are equally impressive, with well-thought-out and expertly prepared dishes. The beer selection is extensive, catering to a wide range of tastes, with options that are both familiar and unique. I highly recommend trying the beer flight to sample different brews from the menu and discover a new favorite.

I brought my family to Prohibition Public House for dinner once. They sampled the ambrosial craft beers, masterfully concocted cocktails, and delicious coffee (from Almonte, Ontario), and supped upon scrumptious charcuterie, mouth-watering poutine tacos, and divine in-house custom cheesecakes. After being floored by the food and drink and stunned by the vibrant, charming atmosphere of the historic building, they thought that if I could frequent a place as nice as this, then I must surely have my life together. Jokes on them, though. Thanks Prohibition for helping me fool my parents! Seriously though, great food, great drinks, and great company. Plus the weekend doorguy is pretty easy on the eyes.

A definite 5 star experience. We absolutely loved this place! Food was amazing, staff was wonderful, and the atmosphere was perfect. So much attention to detail, with both the food and the restaurant itself. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal, and a good time. We will definitely be back!

Great decor, great service, great food and beer. My wife thought the trout was the best she has had at a restaurant. I really enjoyed the lamb. The open toast comes with a salad that was excellent. Great selection of craft beer, and the waiter was knowledgeable about the beers.
