Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónThe service was pleasant, but the buffet left much to be desired. It mostly featured a choice between chicken and fish. Of the drinks that were available, only one was in working order. I did enjoy the fish and potato salad, though. For $18, which included the buffet and a drink, I found the selection lacking, with only eight items to choose from.
I absolutely loved the seafood boil! It was a bit pricey, but totally worth it. I was welcomed as soon as I walked in, and the service was exceptional. The atmosphere felt cozy and inviting, which is perfect for a date night, family gathering, or group outing. I will definitely be coming back!
I truly dislike writing this review, especially since the staff was so nice. Unfortunately, being friendly doesn't necessarily translate to good food. On the day I visited, they offered fried catfish and chicken wings. I found the chicken to be a bit dry and greasy, reminiscent of what you’d expect from a shabby roadside gas station. The catfish was tough, but I did manage to enjoy it after drowning it in Louisiana hot sauce. I noticed that many of the hot sauce bottles were almost empty, suggesting that others may have had the same idea. The macaroni and cheese had potential, but the overpowering smoky flavor ruined it for me. I can’t help but wonder if that smoke flavor is artificial and suggest that they consider removing it; many people would likely enjoy it more without it. My spouse tried the brisket, which she didn’t think was terrible, but when I sampled it, it tasted like canned meat. I really hesitate to leave a negative review because the service was good and the people were kind. However, I believe that whoever is responsible for the marketing of this restaurant should consider a career change, especially if they are involved in the food side. The marketing convinced me to drive all the way from downtown to try this place, and I recommended it to several friends and family. The photos give the impression of a charming Southern eatery, with aromas wafting through the images. Sadly, the reality doesn't match those expectations at all. I would like to give this place another chance in the future to see if they improve. It seems to me that many who love to cook don’t take enough pride in their craft. I don’t feel I’m being overly harsh—just honest. Based on what I experienced, I believe most others would agree with me. I even saw a neighboring table get up and leave due to their unmet expectations. For these reasons, I’m giving it two stars.

IT STARTS AT 11a AND IT WAS $18 I ATE JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING ON THE BUFFET FRIED CHICKEN WINGS-FRIED FISH-PASTA-COLLARD GREENS-GREEN BEANS -POTATO SALAD-CORN-AND THE CUCUMBERS WERE DELICIOUS ALSO AND THERE IS COKE SPRITE ROOT BEER AND THE 2 YOUNG LADIES WERE SO NICE AND POLITE. AND I LOVED THE BATHROOM WAS CLEAN AND THE DECOR WAS REALLY NICE ITS WORTH IT. I COULD’NT EAT BUT 1 PLATE GO CHECK IT OUT. THE SOUND OF JAZZ MUSIC PLAYING THROUGHOUT THE RESTAURANT. I LOVED IT THEY ALSO HAVE A DINNER BUFFET. I HOPE THAT THE OWNER OPENS UP ANOTHER CLOSER TO MIDTOWN KC OR KCKS
Had the all you can eat buffet. Not worth the $25. The fish and chicken was just ok. The greens, yams, green beans were all out of the can no flavor. The pasta was sweet (never heard of sweet pasta). The pulled pork was salty as heck. The turkey meatloaf (if that's what you want to call it). Needless to say being from the south myself it wasn't any soul in that food. I left hungry.
