Pret A Manger - Oxford

Once again the the coffee cookies were great but the place is let down by serving the drinks in paper cups the food in a paper bag!! Surely you should be given a proper cup plate if dining in? Good coffee, but I would like a proper cup!!

We chose some toasties, but when we ate them they were half toasted, The queue was too long to wait and complain. Really need some staff training in putting toasties on!! its a Tuesday and most of the tables are taken up by students with their laptops out having one coffee, that doesnt help the people that want to sit and have their lunch!! The toilets were dirty and the sink tap was broken in the ladies. Not a nice dining experience I wont be back.

The atmosphere is lovely and it's a great place to escape the busy Oxford city center. The drinks and food are good. I recommend sitting upstairs.

I hadn 't visited this chain since before lockdown, and so I thought a return here might make a pleasant change. However, I was not at all impressed by having the coffee served in a plastic cup(it doesn 't taste as good in plastic ! Okay if you 're taking away, but not really the thing when you 're drinking 'in ' at table. The coffee itself wasn 't bad, and the chocolate cookie was very good(but handed to me in a bag where have the plates gone? . When you 're paying more the £5 for the drink/food you expect some sort of standards you should get proper cups and plates for that! I probably shan 't be making a return visit here.

I have always been a fan of Pret A Manger. However, my experience at the Oxford branch was disappointing. The service was disorganised, the drinks were incorrect, and it was very slow. This branch was an absolute shambles. Although I have always considered Pret A Manger to be the best, this particular location definitely needs some improvements.
