Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónThree of my friends and I came here for a bite to eat. I was the only vegan, but since this place is on Happy Cow, I thought the restaurant would provide suitable options. Was greeted very pleasantly, but when I asked about the vegan options, our waiter went to chat to a colleague. A few minutes later he came back and said that all the dishes with the green leaf were vegan friendly. I pointed at a dish and the waiter told me it contained egg, which then made me confused. He clarified and said that all other options are definitely vegan, so I proceeded to scan through the menu. He then walked away and didn't come back. I could see him casually chatting to colleagues behind the bar and waited around 15 minutes, before we all stood up and left.
Food was good and there seemed to be a few vegan options when I went there a few months ago. Vegan options aren't labeled. The staff wasn't sure what vegan meant but was friendly and happy to check with the kitchen pretty sure the food was vegan and felt confident that they were being honest. Would recommend.
I am neither vegan nor vegetarian. My husband and I went here in May 2017 with our daughter and her boyfriend. They are both vegan and regularly eat here. I found there to be a wide choice of vegan and vegetarian options although this is not an exclusively vegan and vegetarian restaurant. We managed to get a table without booking on Friday night but it is very popular so perhaps best to book if you want to go at the weekend. The service was prompt, the server was friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed and the food was delicious.
The place has limited seating, but is very cozy, eating is remarkable and the presentation is impeccable, good quality sashimi also. the bad is up, the only problem we had was that our reservation did not guarantee us a table at the time, but they were nice enough to move some people so that our group could put six. I recommend the takoyaki (even if they do not like octopus) and the ebi tempura.
I have never been in the restaurant itself, but I regularly deliver and I must say all Japanese restaurants in oxford, sushi corner has the best packaging, portioning, price and not to mention taste. I am really impressed by their consistency of taste and I would highly recommend them if they are a fan of Japanese food.
