When we went there, early June 2020, the staff was amazing. Our servers were friendly and hospitable. Amazing view of the lake. There isn?t good signal in here or around the restaurant, but if you use the guest wifi, you can get decent internet access.
The moment we walked up to the hostess stand it was clear hospitality wasn 't on the menu. There was a rope blocking access to the restaurant causing a bottleneck of people entering and exiting. A couple was already waiting but said they had been assisted by the hostess, so when she approached, we stepped up. Instead of being greeted with a hello, the hostess frantically told us I 'm sorry, it 's a fifteen minute wait. We said that 's fine and asked if she needed our name and she said no, leaving us to stand there to hold our place in line as more and more people walked up. This included a couple who asked if the bar was available to sit at, which the hostess said was available, an accommodation not offered to us or the couple in front of us. Unfortunately, the couple who inquired about sitting at the bar got the last two seats available. Shortly after that, another couple walked up and asked if they could step up to the bar to order a drink and the hostess said the bar is backed up and they couldn 't allow anyone else in at the moment. It then became clear that the restaurant was understaffed. With only one server on the floor and one bartender, it was no wonder they had to put up a rope to block things off. What wasn 't clear was why the hostess couldn 't take our names so we could sit and relax in the waiting area next to the hostess stand. Doing so would have reduced congestion and confusion at the entrance and made for a better experience all around. When we finally were seated, we made certain we were ready to order as it was clear the server was overwhelmed. To her credit, she came to our table promptly and took our order. My husband ordered a cocktail which we waited for patiently since we were already aware of the bar being backed up. Our food came quickly after his cocktail arrived and everything was good, but the overall experience left a lot to be desired. The restaurant seemed ill prepared to handle the volume of guests staying at the resort, which is surprising given the fact that they should know the occupancy of the resort and staff the restaurants accordingly. If you 're staying at the resort, your choices are limited, so if you want a better experience, be prepared to leave the resort.
Well found. it was quite empty on a Sunday. they played the cardinal game, so got some football action while they were a beer. great view of the sea and a beautiful pool
Pros- Solvai was our waitress and was very friendly and fast. Negative. Joe the bartender was observed by being rude to other customers. A gentleman waited next to a dirty table to sit down (it is a seat itself lounge) Joe put him rudely in front of everyone in the auditorium, which is quite open to the whole restaurant. The Lord apologised immediately and tried to explain why he was waiting and the bartender interrupted him and repeated himself, treated him like a child. It was a very unpleasant moment and it made me feel uncomfortable. After the interaction I watched the bartender standing behind the bar crossing with his arms ca. 2-5 min not a dang thing, he could easily wipe the table, but waited for one of the waiting staff to wipe it for him. Bad presentation of how to run a restaurant. The atmosphere was off, no soft music game, tv on courage, it was quite loud at the same time. The menu was very limited and does not offer lounge? I think it's a good meal.
