Billy's Pancake House - Palatine

This was my first visit to the restaurant, and I was thoroughly impressed! The food was exceptional, especially the pork chops, which I was pleased to find were served with applesauce. They make their soup from scratch every morning, and the cream of chicken and rice was both hot and delicious. Our waitress, Salvina, was fantastic, managing all the tables on a late Sunday afternoon just a couple of hours before closing. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning!

With an extensive menu, their pancakes are simply phenomenal, offered in a variety of flavors and styles. You are sure to love the taste of their pancakes and other breakfast options. Every dish on their menu is unique and homemade, truly showcasing the freshness of their ingredients. The waffles, crepes, breads, sandwiches, desserts, and more are all definitely worth trying. Everything on the menu is not only delicious but also of high quality. Plus, the prices are surprisingly reasonable. You can indulge in anything you want without worrying about overspending. This has quickly become my favorite breakfast spot, and I plan to visit repeatedly to explore their full menu and try everything they offer. We took our family to Billy's for a lovely brunch at 1 PM on a Sunday, and we were pleasantly surprised by how many tables were available. While we appreciated the seating, it was clear that the staff was ready to wrap up after what I imagine was a busy morning rush. I’ve been to Billy’s before, so I recognized that this wasn't their usual energy. I managed to overlook a few blunders, like forgetting the kids' water, not refilling our drinks, and the delay in getting our takeout boxes. Despite these hiccups, we were still enjoying our meals when our waitress brought the check. Although I found it a bit unexpected, I wasn't offended—having young kids, we usually prefer to eat quickly. I can understand how some might find this off-putting, though, and I hope it's not a common practice at the restaurant. My kids loved their meals, and my breakfast burrito was a real treat. We plan to return, and I'm hopeful that our next experience will reflect the usual standard of Billy's.
