Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónExcited after 3 missed chances to go due to Covid and illness, we were so excited to have reservations made 6 months ago. We checked in after problems then got keys and valet (only person in charge of luggage carts), took us to our room. Amazingly, it was occupied by people who insisted to be moved from their room. After much confused discussion we were offered a room at the villas for a night then reloaded and moved to the problem room they left after it was cleaned by 5 or 6 the next afternoon. We would have been away from all the amenities we were going for. We chose to leave and got deposit refunded. We were embarrassed and disappointed. Another guest verified many problems with service and room assignment issues. I feel we were not compensated properly. Not anything like the resort of 5 years ago.
I too my family of 17 to Hammock Beach and all I can say is that this place is over priced and understaffed. The pool areas are so over crowded, you need to rent a cabana or reserve a chair which is done ONLY online for $200 for the cabana and $10 for the chairs. We ordered lunch at poolside and it took 1 and 1/2 hours. I mentioned to pool waiter that this was unacceptable and he admitted that they are short of staff. You need to ASK for your room to be serviced. if you are handicapped..forget it..ONE handicap ramp for the entire pool area. I arranged a private birthday dinner at Delphine’s. It took 3 1/2 hours. One waiter for 14 people is unacceptable. Be prepared that this is a CASHLESS property and you cannot get any change for tipping. You have to ask a porter to see IF they have change. If you eat on property be prepared to spend a fortune. Over priced food that is cold and terrible. To be blunt, this is a nice resort that over states its amenities and under delivers. If I had been diligent and read reviews, I would go elsewhere.
I would rate a 0 if there was an option. Waiting, waiting, waiting for a room with children. No comp for any waiting, not even offered dinner or a drink. We ended up leaving after traveling 2 hours to get here. We have been here many times in the past and we will NEVER be back. This place has gone so far down hill it’s unbelievable. I wouldn’t give them one penny I found off the ground. NEVER book here, never stay here. This place is ****!!
Went there with my immediate and extended family. In total we booked 3 separate rooms: a 3 bedroom condo, 2 bedroom villa, and a room above the country club. The whole resort needs to be updated and refreshed. Some fresh paint and a deep cleaning would do wonders for the resort. The 3 bedroom condo was very spacious and a good location. Other rooms were just ok. All rooms need to be updated and have adequate maintenance. Our bathtub and one sink dripped constantly. The clothes dryer was rusted out. Had to ask for a coffee maker and an iron. The wifi in our room did not work, evidently the router malfunctioned but no one was available over the weekend to replace a router. Finally got wifi Monday evening. Upon checking in we were informed that the beach was closed from 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday due to beach restoration. Excuse me? This is a beach resort in the middle of july. This was completely unacceptable. We were just expected to deal with it. This should have been clearly communicated to us weeks before, when we could still get a refund and book elsewhere. My elderly parents came on this trip so they could walk on the beach. The restoration of the beach graded the sand so steep my mother couldn 't even get to the beach during the non-closed hours. We feel that management knew about the closure ahead of time, did not tell anyone, and were not willing to make any consolations. Unfortunately, there seemed to be a lot of younger people with poor customer service skills running this resort. The beach closure led to the pool areas being overly crowded. The resort does not have enough amenities for the amount of people staying. We had to get in line 45 minutes before the pool opened to try and get chairs at the pool. The resort also has so many chairs set aside for reservations at an additional charge. Chair reservations were completely booked the whole time we were there. The rules at the pools are not consistenly enforced. Children and teenagers were almost always in the adult pool/area/hot tub. I never saw any staff tell children they couldn 't be there. One day our small padded cooler was conviscated and taken to an office. That same day I saw a miniumum of 3 different coolers people were allowed to keep. Either have the rules or don 't have the rules- but be consistent. We did use the fitness center several times and it is pretty nice with plenty of equipment. There 's also a really nice green space just outside the main towers, very pituresque. Two people in our party had sushi on site and said it was very good. Overall the resort was not what we were expecting, and the lack of sincere customer service really added to that disappointment. We would never stay here again, nor would I recommend Hammock Beach and Golf Resort to anyone.
Will never go back. Resort overpriced, outdated and dirty. Resort in need of maintenance, buildings need painting, broken tiles, broken pavers, walk way lights etc. Rooms dirty and dingy, was given a moldy coffee maker when we requested one because neither of the 3 bedroom condos we rented had one. Check in was almost 2 hours late even though we arrived hours early but couldn’t use the pool or beach. Pool was way overcrowded with no available seating and beach was closed M-F which we were not informed of prior to arriving. Also pool chairs cost 15 each to reserve, if you want to try to snag some chairs you have to be in line by 830 am for 9 am pool opening. Asked for call from manager but never received a call. Furnishings in room were sparse dirty and worn out.Outdated to say the least. Our condos were on separate floors and separate ends of resort even though it was one booking. Carpet in 2nd condo was dirty and room was dark and dingy. This resort charges 5 star prices for barely 2 star. Son inquired about golfing , charge was $350 each to golf, so he golfed literally golfed right outside the resort for $40 each. Kids activities were so unorganized and overpriced that the kids didn’t even want to do them. The best part of this resort is the gym, it’s very nice. We also stayed in a 3 bedroom in May and would not have returned after that stay had we not already booked the July stay. May check in was also late, guess they don’t know how to get rooms ready on time. Floors were so disgustingly dirty in that unit that you could not go barefooted. Sent a picture to manager with my dirty feet just after getting out of shower. TV was broken and we were told that is an owner issue and they couldn’t do anything about it. Hmmmm over $700 a night and the resort is ran with complete indifference .When beach is open you will also pay $15 to reserve chairs. Will not go back.
