Breakers Palmerston North

Probably the worst meal we have ever had. Dry chicken, soggy fish and chips, bugs in the salad, warm beer the second round the waitress asked if we would like her to look in the chiller for some cold drinks??? service was completely absent, you needed to push a button? I get that this is a pack ‘‘em in and get ‘‘em out type venue, so the staff are only working with what they have and are trained to do, but the prices are consistent with a restaurant that should be doing the basics properly, which this place clearly can’t. On a positive note, the young waitstaff are really friendly, outgoing and clearly trying to make the most of a poorly managed restaurant.

I had a wonderful meal that I thoroughly enjoyed, and the staff at Breakers were very pleasant, efficient, and friendly. Thank you, Breakers! I will be back.

The steak was incredibly tough, like an old boot. I requested no mushrooms in my omelet, but ended up with an overwhelming amount of them. When I went to voice my concerns, they called us...

I didn't eat my meal at all because my pork was pink, and the roasted vegetables were undercooked. Throughout the entire meal, there was a guy coughing dryly nearby, which made the experience even less enjoyable.

Loved it. Quick service and it's the 1st place that has actually cooked my steak blue-rare. Very pleased
